How often does a Sussex PR firm give away some of the “free stuff”? Not very often.
Later this month (Sept), I will be putting a Tool Kit section on my website (www.cobbpr.com). This will give you free information on how to write a press release, how to talk to journalists, how to give a good media interview, and so on.
What’s the catch? There ain’t none. If you find what you need free of charge, great. If you need additional help, you know where I am.
It’s always a pleasure to meet Sussex PR consultants at networking events. While most are pleased to chat about issues we all face, others are more hesitant. It’s a shame. Sometimes sharing a problem (or a “challenge”, as we PR folk say) helps you get it into perspective.
We’re putting the finishing touches to a new business lunch club aimed at managing directors of medium and large sized companies. It will kick off in Brighton and is being organised in partnership with corporate financier Nik Askaroff, commercial bank director Rob Clare and lawyer Simon Dodds. We have high hopes it will be successful, as we all think there is a need for something new in Sussex.
Morning world - it’s time for me to catch up with the wonderful world of blogging and make a contribution. I run a public relations company in Eastbourne on the south coast of England. I have a great team around me and a great bunch of clients.
A lot of people view PR consultants as an expensive waste of time and money. Judging from some of the people in this industry I meet, I might well agree.
However, there are some good guys out there who help give individuals, charities, and growing businesses a stronger voice to get their messages across.
