Cobb PR client BrightonandHoveJobs.com has teamed up with Brighton & Hove Albion to ensure Academy youngsters have the right skills to succeed in work when their careers come to an end.
Soccer star Fabrice Muamba, whose career was cut short by a cardiac arrest during an FA Cup match, has helped to launch the pioneering new partnership and visited the American Express Community Stadium on Tuesday 17th December to speak to members of the Albion’s Football Academy. Cobb PR was instrumental in setting up a press conference and securing media coverage.
During his visit, Fabrice recounted his incredible story to a group of Academy scholars and stressed the importance of planning for life after football.
He said: It was a pleasure to come to the Amex to help launch this unique scheme and speak to the Academy players to make them aware of all the great things they can achieve after football. All young players hope to make the grade and play professional football, and that means working hard, but they should also have a plan B in mind.
